Rachael Scott
Health Improvement Practitioner
I am from Scotland and arrived in New Zealand with my backpack over 20 years ago and never left! I studied Social Work in Scotland and have spent most of my career working clinically in Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health in Christchurch. I completed further Post Graduate study in Health Sciences focusing on Mental Health. I very much enjoy my role here, supporting people to live the best life they can, through developing achievable goal-focused behavioural change plans to improve their physical and emotional wellbeing. I live over the other side of the river in Darfield with my husband and three children and love my commute to work across the Inland Scenic Route. When not at work I love to spend time with my family and our animals keeping on top of our hectare block. Together we enjoy tramping, skiing, biking and just generally being outdoors.

Chelsea Flynn
Practice Pharmacist and Health Coach
Born in South Africa, raised in North Canterbury, I studied my Bachelor of Pharmacy in Dunedin before working in community pharmacy in both NZ and Ireland and eventually moving back to little old Mid Canterbury with my dairy farming husband.
I have been lucky enough to be at Methven Medical for the last year in my role as Health Coach and even luckier now to be part of the team as Practice Pharmacist and Health Coach so you may see my face around more as I get to know the community.
When I am not at work, you’ll find me up at Mt Hutt Bike Park, exploring one of the many walks around, on the farm or at home with my dog, Bailey.

I was born and raised in the Kingdom of Tonga and moved to Ashburton more than 10 years ago. I have worked as teacher aide and administrator before taking the role of a community Pacific Outreach Navigator/Kaiāwhina for Tangata Atumotu Trust. Part of my job is as Kaiāwhina within the comprehensive primary care team at the Methven Medical Centre (MMC) where I engage and support Pasifika and Māori families to access the services they need. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and church related events as my faith plays a huge role in my life as a Christian.
